Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 was a truly inspiring time for London Nightline, packed with uplifting events, meaningful conversations, and community spirit. From creative campus visits to a record-breaking run, our team and supporters came together to shine a light on mental health and raise money for our much-valued helpline.
The highlight of last week was Sunday’s Hackney Half marathon. Fifteen incredible supporters laced up their running shoes and took on the challenge, all while raising vital funds for Nightline. Their dedication and determination has brought in an amazing £6,000 to support our mental health services. We’re so proud of their efforts and grateful to everyone who donated and cheered them on. It’s not too late to donate: just click here.
Earlier in the week, we also had the pleasure of visiting Queen Mary University and the Royal Veterinary College, where we met with students during the busiest and most stressful time of their year: exam and dissertation season. Through relaxed and creative activities like colouring in and making phone charms, we created a calm space for conversation and connection, reminding us all of the importance of taking a break and reaching out for support when it’s needed most.
We also shared a powerful blog post written by one of our amazing volunteers, offering an honest and moving look at what it’s like to support people through our mental health phoneline. If you haven’t read it yet, we highly recommend giving it a read.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part in Mental Health Awareness Week with us, whether you ran, crafted, donated, or simply shared a kind word. Your support helps us keep the conversation going and lets more people know they’re not alone.
