December 18, 2025

What a way to round off the year! Our Christmas Singalong on 16th December was everything we hoped it would be – warm, lively, and filled with community spirit. Led by the brilliant Daniel Chappell on piano, the pub was buzzing with festive energy as voices came together for classics old and new. Thanks to everyone who joined us, donated, or simply sang their hearts out, the evening raised over £1,500 to help keep our listening service running during the winter months. We’re incredibly grateful.
2025 has been an eventful year for us here at London Nightline. We trained two incredible cohorts of new listening volunteers, bringing more than 80 students into the Nightline team and strengthening our ability to offer anonymous, non‑judgemental support every night of term. We expanded our outreach on campuses across London, deepened our partnerships with universities, and launched the Stay Project – a major new seven‑year initiative focused on supporting those working to prevent suicides. Alongside this, we celebrated achievements including winning UCL’s Community Organisation of the Year for the second year running, speaking at the Symposium for Student Health and Wellbeing, and raising thousands of pounds during community fundraisers at the pub quiz, bucket-shaking and at the Hackney Half marathon.
As we wrap up an extraordinary year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks. To our university partners, thank you for championing student wellbeing and working alongside us throughout the year. To our funders – City Bridge Foundation, the Hollick Family Foundation, the Albert Hunt Trust and Co‑op’s Local Causes – your support ensures students always have someone to turn to. And to our student volunteers: thank you for showing up for your peers, for each other, and for Nightline – your impact is felt across every corner of London’s student community.
2026 marks London Nightline’s 55th anniversary so watch this space for exciting plans! In the meantime though, very best wishes to all Nightline supporters and see you in the new year.
